MXTabs is my usual source for tabs but the tab there sucks and I've looked elsewhere without success. I really don't feel like having to tab it myself because that means overplaying the song to the point where I won't like it anymore. Thanks.
 
Try guitartabs.cc, powertabs.net, and olga.net. Or google for "hey jude" bass tab.

That said, I don't think that learning a song on my own makes it less fun to play at all. If anything it helps me remember it better, and makes it easier to improvise.
