If not, you could go with a non-SLI mobo and save enough to move up to a 7900GS or GT.

Why AM2 instead of Core 2? Even the E6300 is as fast as an X2 4600+.
 
I have always been an amd fan so i stick with them, second i may go with SLI in the future so i like to keep my lanes open, What type of board would you suggest if i was going to go single card? I like all the other features of that board..
