Basic Wireless Home Networking Question

Hey guys, I have a wired desktop to a home wireless router, and a wireless desktop.

Since I don't have a crossover cable, and would vastly prefer a wireless network, I was wondering if this configuration was possible.

Any help would be appreciated, as well as links to sites to guide me through.

Cheers,

Ryan

You have a Wireless Router.

You have a Desktop connected to it.

You have a Wireless Desktop connected to it.

Good news, guess what, you do not need any thing else you already have a Network.

You want to Share and connect the computers? You just need to set the File and Printer sharing on each computer.

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed to be shared.

I just ran the home networking wizard, put both computers in the same work group, used simple file sharing, but neither computer shows up in eachothers my network places
