basic windows vista question (where is the command prompt)

Hello

I have got a very basic windows vista question. How do i get to the command prompt in windows vista?

same as xp.

start menu, accessories, command prompt


or type cmd in the run / search box

in the start menu type run, this will open run (same as xp, 2k...) windows key + R may also work though I haven't tried and am in xp at the moment. From there type cmd, this will give you the command prompt. You can also type cmd at the windows search bar and you should be able to find it that way (if you need an administrative command prompt you will have to go that way).

start, type cmd, enter.
