basic WAP from T-mobile no longer free?

i can't get to yahoo anymore from my phone. it tells me to subscribe to t-zone. is it same for everybody else too?
 
Yeah I noticed that. Blows, since I only cancelled T-zones about two weeks before this happened, and I had t-zones for a year, not realizing that I had basic wap without t-zones. Now that I actually do need t-zones for wap, i don't have it anymore! And, since I changed plans, I can't get it for the $2.99 I used to get it for.

It connects through the phone line and uses minutes. GPRS service is faster and does not use minutes.
 
yes free wap is gone.

i'm now using t-zones with my treo 600, gives you free unlimited http, pop, ftp. no secure sites though.
 
I don't get it anymore either. I called them about it and the guy on the phone was clueless that it was even free in the first place...
 
Yep, it is all gone for me too. Even all my other gateways are locked up now. I didn't use it much, but when I did it was handy. I might just add on the Tzones, haven't decided yet.
 
What do you guys use T-Zones for? I'm subscribed to it but I never use it except for the ocassional ringtone download. Even then a data cable seems like a better investment.
