Hi,

I am thinking about taking a plunge at home to a little better config and going to Vista. This is home/gaming/business. I've got an E4300 and a8600 GT processor right now.

I use Vista already , but on a laptop for my business. I don't game on my laptop.

What is a good value combo right now in terms of CPU/Video card that runs decent Vista performance? I am trying to determine the CPU/Video first to see if I should consider upgrading the MB and memory if it is necessary. If possible, I'd like to get a year or two of medium use out of it (if it runs current game titles decent now, I'd be happy).

Thanks

Overclock the CPU, upgrade the graphics card to a HD 4850 or better. Make sure you have 2GB of RAM right now, 4GB would be nice. (remember to get vista x64 then)
