Basic Video Card Question concerning VIVO-please help

I'm in the process of building my new system and have most of what I need except for the video card.

I plan to use the new system for gaming and other multimedia stuff (dvds etc..) and am considering getting either the ATI Radeon 64 Mb DDR w/ VIVO or a geforce2 Pro with Video Out.

I would like to be able to connect my TV to the video card so that I could watch DVD movies on my TV. Basically, I'm also trying to avoid buying a separate stand alone player for my TV for the time being. I have been assuming that this is possible with cards that have video out capabilities ---is this correct? I have been eyeing the ATI card because I've heard so much about its DVD software...but the MSI geforce2 Pro card can be found cheaper and also has video out and is clocked faster.

Could someone answer my question and help sort this out? Thanks.

Thanks alot for the reply-feels good to not be assuming anymore. Anyone have favorable things to say about the TV out capabilites of the MSI geforce2Pro?
