Centrino is a marketing scheme of Intel which means that the laptop comes with the banias processor (1M of L2 cache) and a built in wireless thing...

yeah... well that's how i understood it at least...

so something that has the p4m + wireless wouldn't be called centrino...

or even a p3m + wireless... it has to be the banias processor + wireless

if its just the processor w/o wireless then it's not called "centrino".... yeah kind of weird....

Centrino = Pentium-M (Banias) + i855 chipset + Intel WiFi

(i.e. If you buy a laptop with a Pentium-M but no built in Intel WiFi, then you do not have a Centrino laptop.)
