I'm trying to calculate the total wattage my system will draw to determine if my current power supply will be sufficient for all the stuff I want to load on this thing. Unfortunately, the only info I can get on my SB Live Value is the following:
Supply Voltage Requirement (Loading): +5, +12, -12 Volt Current Consumption (Typical): 300, 500, 30 mA respectively

I can't remember the formula to convert these values into watts...or if this is even enough data to determine how many watts the card will need(no resistance listed).

So, can anyone help me with the equation to compute this or a real value from their SB Live Value card?

Dinnae you worry laddie.

But I wouldn't take any values too seriously. Or for that matter the rating of your power supply. Buy it all, plug it all in. If it works it works, if it don't it don't.

Look at my sig. That Duron & Geforce2 must take a lot of power right? And 2 IBM 7200rpm drives, and loads of case fans. What power supply do I use? A generic not-even-on-AMD's-list 235W thing.

That makes me happy...I too have a 235W PS and I was worried bout it but I will have 2X80mm fans, 1X60mm fan and a HD cooler. Any idea how much power the fans will require?

Fan's don't take that much. I've got a 92mm blowhole in the front (so it also works as a HD cooler - very neat).

I haven't bought a 120mm holesaw yet for my other blowholes but I have had 2 120mm Panaflo's connected @ 12V, 7V & 8.7V and the computer still seemed to run fine.

You should be fine.
