ok, here it goes....
One Lappy with Xp Home, one Desktop with XP Pro.
MS networking, tcp/ip, file printer sharing is used.
On the desktop (F's computer) i have accounts "D" and "F", both admins.
On the lappy exists account 'D' (admin).
If i connect to the Laptop from the Desktop i do NOT need to enter user/pw...i just connect and everything's fine.
When i connect (as user 'D') from the Laptop to the desktop i get a requester askinf for password.
When i change the account 'D' on the desktop so it does NOT have a password (which seems obvious)...i cannot log in from the lappy at all, says that something with the permsission is not right. I NEED the account on the desktop with the password so i cant even connect.
AND....when i conect it takes quite some time (20 secs...) to authorize....it should (IMHO) go much faster....i am on 54MBPS wireless lan and the rates are ok. But it should not take 20 or 30 secs just to authorize...and then after a while it expires....
ALSO...wondering what services i might need to run on the desktop...maybe some service is missing which i have running on the Laptop. The Laptop has all services running like out of nthe box....on the desktop i disabled some...so i dont know.
