Hot deals section has great prices on Lenovo NAS units now that they are end of life, and EMC software they used was sold to Dell. They are all from the era of 2012 to 2014, cheapest are Lenovo (Iomega) consumer grade NAS units, most expensive are from the pro line with typical pro features of the time. 5 years ago Tiger sold off a bunch of the low end models and I bought one of the diskless IX2 models, dropped in a pair of WD red 3TB drives and its been 24/7 since. For $55 shipped I could not resist buying a 2x 1TB second IX2 model, and I am more likely than not going to buy one of the 4 bay pro models, PX4-400D, diskless for $150.
The catch is that my 5 year old IX2 has had zero issues, so I haven't looked for or applied any updates in years, and when I just now looked at Lenovo, registered the new one without much trouble, didn't like my purchase date, there are NO support files at all. Several other members of this site have bought these units, so I am hoping this thread can be a collecting point for support information and maybe exchanging any found files before they are gone from anyplace.
Hot deals thread, note buried in that thread is div of company selling direct with free shipping rather than ebay or newegg. https://forums.anandtech.com/thread...as-units-newegg-sold-by-centrix-intl.2577570/
