basic 3D capable BluRay player?

I'm looking for a budget BluRay player but I want it to be able to play 3D content thorugh HDMI 1.4 since my TV is compatible.

I have a large collection of DVDs that I don't want to repurchase in BluRay anytime soon, so any model that makes DVDs look better in HD (upsampling?) would be a plus. I'm new to HD and BluRay so I don't know if its a common feature or not.

Not interested in "internet apps" and other similar bells and whistles, additional inputs are gravy but not a must, price and value are really my main criteria.

I'm not sure I understand the benefits of BD-Live since I'v enever owned a BluRay player, so not sure if I should care.

I was looking at tte Sony BDP-480 as a possible choice. (http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/sto...Number=BDPS480)

Do you want one with WiFi built-in? It looks like the Sony is WiFi capable but you'd have to purchase an adapter to use it. For WiFi built-in, I have a Panasonic BDT210 and it works great. The Panasonic BDT110, at about $112 on Amazon is the same exact player as the BDT210 except doesn't come with WiFi built-in. I think most all new models upscale DVDs so I don't think you would have a problem there.

I went with the BDT110 and it does a great job. You will need a SD card if you want to use BD-Live or download apps. The one nice feature is that it has all of the stream options like a Roku like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu Plus, MLBTV, etc.

I plan on using Ethernet so I don;t care about integrated WiFi.
My TV already has streaming stuff built in so I don't really care if I get another vendor's version.

I see Best Buy has the BDP-S580 on Black Friday so I may try to score it. It's rater a Consumer Reports Best Buy for what it's worth.
