bash - how to retrieve previous command which starts with a space

At a bash command line, the up arrow retrieves the previous command,
yet will skip over any command which starts with a space.
Anyone know how to disable that feature ?

Bash can do a lot more than just "up arrow". Personally, I like that "ignorespace" option.

Code:
man bash
Look for "HISTCONTROL".
