Baseline Imaging for Production Linux Servers

We have several Gentoo Servers that will become production servers in the near future. I'm currently looking for a good imaging software, preferrably free, to provide baseline backups. This will be a necessity for using Gentoo in production, since it takes several days to build a Gentoo server. I've looked into Ghost for Linux, mondo, and Acronis True Image so far. I'm looking for a solution that would allow me to store images remotely.
