Based on my own scientific research, I have concluded....

that the current crop of 18-24 year old adults are the biggest whiners, bemoaners, disrespectful brats in history.

25+ are able to understand and appreciate constructive criticism and steer clear of backstabbing and rumor-mongering.

16 and 17 year olds, while naive, seem to know their place and are respectful of their elders and opportunity presented to them.

Oh, and what is the basis population for this ground-breaking scientific research: Last night's episode of American Idol 😛

Nothing like spoiled Americans spoiling their kids, sending them off to government schools, and expecting they become decent human beings.

QFT
I couldn't agree with you more

But the fact remains that many of the problems that plagued past generations of youth do not plague this generation.

I still contend, even with the spoiled attitudes, that the Y generation is the most intelligent generation of youth ever.

How many of you baby boomers or generation Xers were drunk/stoned out of your mind throughout most of school? You see that a lot less with generation Y, atleast the suburban version.

Kids today are interested in finance, computers, science at lot more than previous generations were. It's mostly the result of the advent of the information age and the great access to technology which has sparked interest of these topics in youth.

Lousy kids!!!! <shakes fist vigorously>

I would have to agree except I find that any young kids now-a-days are spoiled rotten.

Woot so I am cool since I am 25... 😛

But really... who watches armeican idol after the first few shows where all the bad singers are shown?

Well other then the last few to see who wins that is.

I would agree with you, except as a 23 year old, I find most 16 yr olds to be much much much worse than my peers. Honestly, our society is in trouble 🙁

I'd be one of those 24 year olds who you are wrong about in your stereotype.

But I do agree that that stereotype is typical of tons of Americans and they come in all ages.

It is the fault of the younger baby boomers. They didn't raise their kids correctly.

You are not far off. That seems to be the problem with my brothers.

Good thing I kind of raised myself.

I agree with your research Dr. CPA 🙂

I also concur.

I blame them growing up during Clinton years. 😛

Clinton was one of the better Presidents we've had, so I don't see the point of that. He reformed welfare, balanced the budget, and did a lot for education. But since he got a blowjob people want to act as if he is responsible for the younger baby boomers failing to raise their kids correctly. Bullsh!t.
