No, he actually wasn't contrary to popular belief... I think I read this in my daily fun facts, but I know for a fact he wasn't...

i'm not sure if you understood my original post.

i wasn't saying that yogi berra was named after yogi bear. i was asking if yogi BEAR was based on Yogi Berra.

Your link says nothing to the contrary on that.
