Baseball Question.

I'd like to see some stats on first pitch out percentage.
Nothing works me up like watching someone hack away at a first pitch early in the game only to pop up to second or hit a soft grounder to short. Does anyone know where I can see numbers that show the probability of getting out on the first pitch as opposed to settling in and looking at a couple pitches?

they talk about these all the time during ballgames but i've never seen it on the internet. Probably one of those huge baseball stat books has some. Bill James is the author iirc, or something along those lines

I still can't find anything, and I've googled this to death today.
If anyone has any more suggestions, it'd be a big help!!!
Thanks PoPPeR, I'll see what I can find so far as stat books go.

I checked out Elias Sports Bureau. They don't have an online component, but I'll see if I can find the book.
Thanks atiyeh 🙂
