Baseball...boooo

I've heard all the arguments for why we americans like to watch certain sports. high scores (basketball), strategy (football), etc. Why then does much of the american public like to watch baseball? It's scores aren't particularly high, for the life of me I don't see alot of strategy, and the game takes FOREVER!! Jeez, I don't even like playing baseball, much less watching it. I think that as older generations die off baseball will die out as well.

Any opinions?

I'm addicted to fantasy sports. That is the only reason I would ever watch a baseball game. I do like playing though.

Baseball's not boring. Granted, it is not as fast-paced as basketball or something but I still love watching it. Watching it live is definitely the best. And it does involve a lot of strategy if you are familiar with the nuances of the game.

Baseball will always remain popular - it has a very rich history, and it is popular in other places besides the U.S, particularly Latin America and Japan.
