Can't unlock without some kind of option in the BIOS. But hey, maybe AMD will introduce an "AMD Upgrade Service." For $50 one can "upgrade" their 1600 into an octacore.

Sounds like an original idea, right?

(Wrong, there was the Infamous Intel G6951 Clarkdale CPU that could be "upgraded" with more cache and hyperthreading with the Intel Upgrade Program)
