there was a more disturbing video out a while back from a helmet cam where his chute only partially opened and he sorta bounced down the cliff. the noises from that one were pretty gross.

Theres a video out somewhere of a famous base jumper that did a test jump from a plane with some kind of glide suit. He was partnered with another jumper and one was going to go under the bridge and this guy was going to glide over it. He just quite didn't make it and skipped off the road deck. It was very messy.

I think I saw dateline or 20/20 a few years ago about a national park banning basejumping off their cliffs citing how dangerous it is. So several basejumpers decided to "protest" this by doing base jumps then getting arrested, except one of the jumpers had a parachute malfunction and died. quite the trajedy except the jumpers started blaming the park for his death
