Whoa, I bet Monster, CareerBuilder and HotJobs are shaking in their shoes right now. This could wipe out paid online job advertising.

No, seriously. It costs (retail, not bulk pricing) sometimes up to $400 to post on those boards. If Google can get enough job seeker traffic, companies would willingly switch.

perhaps in the future, currently i hate the layout of base.google, i figured they'd have a much easier interface to navigate through (ie. not having to do word searches to locate things of interest)
