Hi Guys,
I just went from Palomino at 1800 mhz, to a Barton at 1800 mhz. (I do overclock it, but for this post, I'm just talking about stock speeds)
I just thought I'd share something that I discovered. It doesn't seem to make much difference in FPS games, however in Madden 2003, the game feels a LOT faster with the Barton. I can only think this is due to the extra cache. I wonder if this game is a rare case where the extra cache makes more of a difference than just raw mhz if a person were to compare Barton to Tbred. Maybe Madden is just programmed in a way that really utilizes that extra cache.
Any thoughts?
