Let me say that I am not the cagiest when it comes to OCing. Read alot of articles and still not able to get my barton to overclock. Checked the date and it should be unlocked according to all I have read it was made before week 39.
In my bios whenever I change my multiplier the computer will not reboot at all gives me a message the the cpu is set at wrong speed and must go into setup to change. If I tell the computer to ignore errors then it will boot but at SAFE speed. or 1.2ghz.
I can change my FSB only but then it wont boot at all. Even going only from 166 to 170.
I know I must be missing something. And have a question about the FSB spectrum option in my bios. What is this and do I need to change it to be able to OC.
One more thing Memory timings. are currently set at 8 3 3. And that is witht he aggressive setting selected.
