Barton vs. Sampron both with 512k L2

Hello.
I would like your opinions to help me decide what will be better:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Batron core 512k
or
AMD Sampron 2500+ / 2600+ with 512k (is it also a Barton core?)
given the fact that they cost almost the same...

Is Sampron with 512k much better then the Samprons with 256k only? and can he stand up to the XP?

I have a ABIT NF7-S v2.0 board (NForce2) +
2x256m OCZ ddr 400 +
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro (bios flashd to 9700 Pro)

They do now! It's the very first processor on the table. It sounds like a Barton core to me.

Then it isn't a Sempron. It is mislabeled, it is simply an AXP with Barton core.

I agree with Zebos suggestion that processor will kill the others.

Seconded for the 2.4GHz++ overclocked mobile XP. You cannot find a better "bang-for-the-buck" CPU than that.

sempron 3000+ = sempron 2800+ speed wise but ha 512k cache, rare maybe only oem but barton core for sure.
