Barton, Thoroughbred Core, Palomino?

Palomino = 0.18 micron
T-Bred = 0.13 micron
Both the above have 128k L1 cache and 256k L2

Barton = 0.13 micron
128k L1 cache, 512k L2.

Barton has higher PR's than equivelantly clocked T-bred/Pallys because the cache gives a slight speed boost.

😀...and that's about the jest of it unless you want to discuss OC capabilities then
Gold Medal=T-Bred
Silver to Barton 2500
with the Bronze going to the Palimino

Note betwinx these 3 😛

IM sorry but you are way off! Check Vr Zone's OC charts Barton is still ver good and many have reached over 3ghz!

you have to take into account the users cooling. there is no barton over 3ghz w/o liquid nitrogen, dry ice, or phase change cooling.
in fact the highest aircooled barton is a 2500+ at 2.6
on the other hand the highest aircooled tbred on vrzone is a 1700+ at 2.7
now factoring in the price $60 of the tbred and $170 for the barton...

Also most of those systems are stable long enough to post and run a few sissoft test....MOst are not stable for everyday use or near what many of us would call or want as stale for our home machines....I have seen some pics of the 3ghz machines and that thing isn't even a case...

yea I've seen those OC'd system posts and what the run on...I like to go from personal expeiences because many seem to exaggerate for whatever reason...cause bragging right only last so long 😉

Got about 10 Systems currently and 2 have the 2500 Bartons which (without modding) seem to crap out @ about 185FSB and 2.3GHz on air...I dare not put over 1.9V's...The T-Bred 1700 B's I have OC better (but not higher) then the 2100's so I also would give them the best price/performance ratio unless I can find another 1GHz (AXIA or better core) for under $5 😉

Another vote for the 1700. Best value out there, considering almost any 1700 B will do at least 2600+ speeds.....😉
