Barton stepping question

Last time I built a system, XP1700 B core was hot. I bought one from gameve.com and overclocked it nicely from 133 fsb to 166 without changing multiplier (11?). I just checked the store. They don't sell it any more. They have XP2000 B core with AIUGB stepping for $72. Is this what's hot now?

They also had Barton 2500 with some AQUEA (?) stepping. Does stepping matter in the Barton core, too?

Does anybody know a store that sells XP1700 B core? Is it not hot any more?
Thanks for your answers.

Stepping on the Bartons often can give you an idea of how well it will overclock. I think the best ones are AQXEA, and AQZEA, although the AQZEA's are a little harder to find right now.

As for 1700+ B's, GameVE and eXcaliber were the 2 places I knew of that guaranteed steppings, but it seems they dont sell them anymore. The 2500+'s are now the hot thing for the AXP's.

The 1800+ is the new budget overclocking sweet:heart: have a look at what these guys are getting from some of the 1800+ steppings link
