For the people who are interested in Barton, here is a in depth review (in Chinese) regrading performence and overlocking. I will try to translate it if anybody need it.
 
basically according to the review,the processor they received is 166mhz and 512k l2,then they compared it with thoroughbred b,then they diagnosed some PR numbers,and they ran some benches...then tried to oc that thing,anyway,the graphs and scrnshots already told u that,and in the last section,they discovered that u can actually do something to the L12 of ur thoroughbred to gain 166fsb,then bcome the 256k version of barton...that's what in the article..summed up.
