I bought a AthlonXP 2600+ couple of days ago. It shows L2 cache is 512kb at the bios. But after I installed Sissoft Sandra it shows 256kb. And in all tests it shows the processor speed is 2083 Mhz(12.5x166). So which is true 512 ir 256?

I would believe the BIOS instead of software (ie Sandra)

Edit: By the way, you should try CPU-Z, much better than Sandra for finding out CPU info.

If the clock speed is 2.08, it's a Thoroughbred. The Barton 2600+ chips are ~1.9GHz.
