I ordered a 2500 barton from Portatech and they sent my a 2600 t-bred instead. I just got it so I can send it back. I was planning on OC. Did they do me a favor or did they screw me over.

axda2600kv3d I am sure it a t-bred

Possibly did you a favour. It might be a 2600+ Barton.

Post exactly what is written on the chip, what is known as the Stepping Code. We'll decipher it and tell you if you were 'screwed'.

That would require him to open the package, disabling him from sending it back.

I bought the chip OEM and it came in a little clear cellaphane bag wrapped in a inch of foam. Cheap packaging, but effective. So I know exactly what CPU it is.
