My dad is thinking of popping a new processor into his little PC Chips All in 1 board. Now, Ive suggested that he can buy my Palomino 1800+ off me and I could buy a new XP chip for my mean machine.
Id like to go for a rather cheapish chip that I could overclock rather well and pop into a new motherboard when the time is right. Im currently using an EPoX 8KHA+ and due to my laziness, I havent installed Adobe Acrobat Reader after my last format to check what chips I can take.
Im thinking of getting a Barton, most likely a 2500+ and I would appreciate anyones opinions on what I should do.
[EDIT: Do Barton multipliers come unlocked or am I going to need to fiddle around to unlock them myself?]
[EDIT2: The 8KHA+ takes up to a T'Bred 2600+ 266 so a Barton may be OOTQ but any info will be gratefully accepted]
