Barton core MPs?

Was perusing NewEgg and found they now offer an Athlon MP 2800+ with Barton core. Is this old news? Then again, they listed XP 3000+ as having a 400FSB, which to my knowledge is incorrect. Anyone tried a pair of mobile Bartons in an MP board?

the mp2800's are barton based and were launched about 9 months ago. As for mobile bartons in a mp board yes they work quite nicely, mine run 2.5ghz without any problems.

never tried a Barton mobile or MP cpu, but I have 2 2500 Bartons modded to MP that work great in my Tiger MP.

Did they require any mod to work?

I'm also interested in this. Dually overclocked Barton-Ms would rock.

On my msi k7-d I had to cut the third lvl3 bridge to disable mobile cpu ability and then I had to mod the pins (or the bridges) to get the desired multiplier - 18x is best as it allows 2.4ghz. Search for a thread in the cpu/overclocking forum where I posted a more detailed explanation
