Barton Compatibility

I am looking at buying the new ASUS A7V8X MB and was wondering if anyone has a better idea than me if it will be compatible with the Barton CPU's once they are released? AMD will not say officially but all the info I can find online points to them being perfectly fine for the old socket 462.
As an aside, does the S/PDIF audio connector that comes with the A7V8X have the two jacks for your speakers (not the optical jacks) if you have a 5 or 6 speaker setup?

As for Barton. If the board has a 1/5 Divider then it SHOULD be able to run it, BUT until it comes out, you never know.
