I just got a new Barton 2800+ so I think the multiplier is locked (correct me if I'm wrong), is there any other way to overclock it? I don't want to overlock it too much but I do want to overclock it.

Here are the computer's specs:

Asus a7n8x-e deluxe motherboard
Corsair 512MB pc-3200 RAM
ATI Radeon 9600LE 256mb
ThermalTake Volcano 12+ heatsink+fan
Lite-on cd-rw/dvd-rom
Sony floppy drive
Western Digital 80GB w/8mb cache

If anyone could help at all or provide any info, I would love it :). Thanks...

All Bartons are overclockable. The XP2800 has too high of a multiplier to be able to hit a high fsb, (so it won't perform as fast as an XP2500 running at the same speed), but it will definitely overclock. If you have a stout power supply, you should be able to hit a minimum of 2.3 ghz, probably a bit higher. Good luck.

Yea, around 2.3 ghz sounds good. Can anyone tell me how to actually overclock it? I have a 350W generic power supply that came with the case (don't know if thats good enough). Or can anyone please tell me where i can find a guide to overclocking? :) Thanks...
