Interesting, but I still liked the price of my $88 retail XP2500+Barton from Newegg... IMHO, it ain't worth the extra $50 approx for the small inc in speed.

If this is true, then there are 3 versions of the AXP2600+.

The 333mhz bus, the 266mhz bus, and now the Barton...

where you boys been? I remember discussing what a pointless addition this CPU is to the line-up. I thought this one was even sillier

Initially, at least, they were NOT planning this...2500, 2800, and 3000 models were it. Something does not seem right about them releasing a new barton that is not top of the line. I'd look for a bit more info before touching this.

I thought they only sold that 2300+ to peEmachines?
