Barton 2600+ what BIOS settings?

I decided to get a AMD barton 2600+ Retail for $75 at my local hole-in-the-wall puter store. I have installed the cpu and heatsink. Now im sitting at the BIOS screen and not too sure what settings should be optimal. (The mobo i have is the A7N8X-E Deluxe)

These are the current settings its on by default after turning the system on:

CPU external freq: 200 mhz
CPU Freq Multiple Setting AUTO
CPU Freq Multiple 11.5x


For the Barton 2600+ should i have it on a better setting then what it set to by default? Am i getting the max performance out of this setup? (i havent touched any settings yet)

uh...that ain't right...your FSB should be 166. My 2600 isn't stable at 11.5 * 200.

yup i figured that out too.. its running at 166 x 12.5 now just fine and dandy.. thx for the input 🙂
