Barton 2500+ /w Asus A78NX Deluxe 1.04

Assuming that I have quality ram to run at 200fsb, will my barton 2500+ do 200fsb on my asus a78nx deluxe rev. 1.04 easily? I know this has been asked before but the posts i've seen involved rev 2.0 or the new ultra 400's.

its kind of iffy on pre 2.0 mobos ive seen
what stepping is the NB?

i have two of them (one dlx, one not) and both do 200mhz fine

According to the host bridge revision reading through wcpuid it's A2. You can use wcpuid to find out the NB stepping right?

even if its an A3 it will report A2

only way to really figure out is to give it a shot
remmeber, sometimes it may take a while to save and exti from bios, but whatever you do DONT restart at this point...you'll kill the mobo
and only change one or maybe 2 settings at a time before you go save and exit...its a PITA yeah, but i havnt killed my mobo this way yet

It just happened with my 1.04 mobo today, just after changing first boot selection, save and exit then it refused to boot. Luckily my flatmate has MSI K7N2 so it's easy to hot-swap and flash it back again.
