Barton 2500 vs XP 2400+

Is it really worth 25 bucks more to buy the barton over the 2400? Will I really see a difference?

Probably not but i bought the 2500+ for its overclockability...

Really, in fact, the 2400+, if you can find it clocked at 2.0 ghz, is very nearly just as good. The regular naming would make 1.93 ghz the 2400+ but they named the 2.0ghz a 2400+ to begin with, according to their previous naming 2.0ghz=2500. I went with the 2400+ and it will last me a while.

Does the extra bus speed an cache make up for the processor speed ?

The extra chache is worth a lot. It just feels snappier in day to day tasks.
