Barton 2500+ vs TBred 2600+

I'm planning on upgrading CPU's and Mobos soon, I've been browsing Newegg's catalog and I noticed that the Barton 2500+ only runs 1.83GHz and the TBred Runs 2.08GHz whats the difference between the two processors?

The Barton 2500+ has 512 K of on-die cache and an official clock speed of 333MHz (166x2) The 2600+ doesn't have the added cache. (Any one correct me if I am wrong.) The Barton 2500+ is a fantastic deal at less than $100. From what I have read, it is very overclockable!

Which is faster at stock speed? I don't like dabbling in the art of overclocking much, I just bought a Gig of Crucial PC2700 RAM from newegg and I don't want to get another set of ram. I'd only change the FSB

How much speed do you think I could squeeze out of the Barton and TBred if I were to put it on the Asus
A7N8X Deluxe mobo with 1GB of Crucial PC2700?

your RAM is gonna limit you, but for reference (using XMS pc3200 or high performance ram), barton 2500+ easily gets to 200*11 (2200 Mhz) and 2600+ (according to many online reviews) gets to 2400 Mhz. with those speeds, the 2400 Mhz chip is far faster

EDIT: also, price should not be an issue, as the 2600+ is only $3 more than the 2500+ @ newegg
