I have installed the retail cpu for others and was impressed with the quiet HSF. I currently have an SK-7 with a Panaflo L1A on top, I'm thinkin this is still the quieter, better option, esp if I want to OC the Barton in the future. Am I correct? Get the OEM?

Yes, your cooler is better than the retail, OEM is the way to go.

Id just tack on the extra few bucks for the retail to get the warranty, and also you have an extra HSF if you're ever in need ;)

If you're overclocking, just get the OEM since the warranty will be void. If you're not overclocking, get the retail for the warranty and extra HSF.

Your cooler is better than the retail one, but go retail anyway.

Someone always says this, which is dumb, because AMD has no idea if your CPU failed because of an OC or a different reason, the warranty is good to have

aight, I'm prolly gonna get the retail, just to have the warranty, then use the SK-7 as my HS. Thanks for the good advice!
