I am to purchase a Barton 2500, with probably ASUS A7N8X.
I'll be using my old Generic 2.5CL PC2100 memory, not sure how to run Async with this? .. What ratio? ..

>.< How far will I be able to oc with it? .. I've done the popular overclock on my new Barton 2500, NF7-S, and PC3200 Memory, no problem there. But I'm pretty sure with different memory, it'll turn out to be different.

As long as your Barton is not locked, you can overclock fine with PC2100. You'll just have to use high multi like 15-18 and low FSB like 133-150s. If you're lucky you'll be able to run 166 FSB with that memory but I wouldn't count on it.

If your Barton is locked, then ... Good luck. :)

Well like you said you will be running the fsb at 166 and your memory at 133. If you are going to be overclocking, keep in mind that Bartons being sold now are probably locked, meaning you can only change the fsb, not the multiplier.
