Barton 2500+ multiplier ?

Hi All,
Decided to upgrage to a 2500+ w/333 fsb and picked out the wrong mother board asus a7s333.
Seems the 333 is refering to the memory speed. This board only supports up to 266,considerably slowing the cpu to 1.46 ghz when at 11 x 133 . but it allows me to run the multiplier up to 12.5 boosting it to 1.66. My Question is is this safe for the cpu? temps are at about 107 f.

Now if i can just get the computer store to exchange it ill be all set. Next time ill look before i leap.
