Edmundo,
Please post any improvements/updates you have.
My rig is
A7N8X dlx Rev 2.0 with Barton 2500+
Thermalright SLK900A
Antec SLK3700AMB with True power 430 PSU

I first had Corsair TwinX3200C2 256MB sticks in the system. Memtest kept rpeorting errors beyond 180 Mhz FSB and prime95 after an hour.
The system would bootup fine at 200Mhz FSB but memtest would report error and prime95 would fail within minutes.
Bought two cheap sticks of Kingston valueram PC2700, they hit 194 FSB without errors on memtest and prime95 ran for a couple of hrs before i stopped it. Bought another 512MB PC2700 valueRAM and had 1G RAM running at 190 FSB without a hitch. The temps were low (35 idle/46 load) too. I changed the RAM to one Kingston 512MB and the two Corsair sticks and temps went up to 40 idle and 52 load.

you may be able to find more details on my problem in this forum, i posted about 6 mths back.

I searched on nforcershq and found a few others had similar problems with A7N8X-Dlx mobo and corsair pc3200 twinx RAM.

BTW, I have tried various versions of the BIOS and none of them seemed to make it any better.

The same corsair memory runs without any errors on my Shuttle AN35N Ultra mobo ;)

weird huh?

edmondoab you've got the best mother for an Athlon XP that is avaliable,

I'm coming into this way late, but I just stumbled upon the thread. The mobo he has is a good one, but not the best. The DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B is the best board available.
