I might be a bartender :)

How early should I get there and what should I say?

It's for a bar+grill type of place. It's a bar, but it serves food (as opposed to a restaurant with a bar in it)

Show up about 10 minutes early. While any job tending bar will eventually show it's true colors, it's still a job interview. The interviewer will be hung over, on the cell phone and chain smoking the entire time. Do your best...you'll only be there for about 6 months before you quit or get fired anyway.

Any job in the "entertainment" industry is a self-absorbing bacteria. They eat their own.

on time ftw?

5-10 minutes early maybe... I hate when people come super early for interviews (like, more than half an hour early), because we end up having to just stick them in the lobby more often than not for half an hour because we don't have room in our schedule to interview them early.

No experience, no classes. I talked to the owner a few times in person. Most bartenders don't take classes, and in my state you can start bartending at 19 (although I am 21).

You should give it a shot, it's one of the oldest professions and there will always be demand for more people to serve drinks to an ever-growing population of alcoholics :p

Get there the night before and camp out. When the boss arrives, he'll know you're serious.

Six months is good enough, I've just always wanted to know what it would be like to be a bartender in a college town :)

If the interviewer vomits due to his hangover, how should I react?

Get their reasonably early, but poop beforehand. I hate it when I get the poop when it's time to go in for the interview.

Just clean up his vomit, and get used to it, it is part of the job.
