Bonds says he's 'finished' if bone chips worsen
Struggling slugger reveals elbow injury before Giants beat Dodgers

Already bothered by a sore knee, Barry Bonds has bone chips in his swollen left elbow. He said he plans to continue playing with the problem until it forces him out.

Bonds was 0-for-2 with two walks, one intentional, in San Franciscos 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night in a game delayed nearly two hours by rain. Ray Durhams sacrifice fly scored the go-ahead run in the ninth inning, helping the Giants win the series opener.

Bonds said the bone chips were discovered in spring training, causing him to miss a week. He told MLB.com before the game that he would continue playing until his arm ?blows up.?

Asked after Friday?s game what he meant, Bonds said, ?It means I quit. Gone.?

However, he said he?s ?not at all? worried about that happening.

I think his elbow problem will be his excuse to quit if he gets indicted.
All I can say is good riddance.

I don't think he really cares about the steroid thing too much. He's already said that his only goal at this point is the HR record.

Barry Bonds is hurt. He hasn't played in 2 years and didn't even finish the pre-season.

Guess things catch up to you after you start laying off the juice.
