First, he refuses to participate in the home run hitting and then he bad mouths Babe Ruth.

Not only is he a jerk, but he's ignorant: The Babe has better stats.

And the Babe loaded up on beer and hot dogs, who know what Barry's juiced with.

Babe Ruth was a Fat Assed Drunk who played when pitchers barely threw over 80 miles an hour. Today he wouldn't even make a ball club and in no way does he even come close to the good ball players as far as talent goes.

And he hit a hell of a lot of home runs. If he was alive today, chances are he wouldn't be a fat assed drunk. Plus, he'd have all the benefits of modern day training like Bonds and everyone else has. Sure, if you took him staight outta the 20's to today he wouldn't make a club, but if he was put into the same situation as the guys today are, I bet he would.

And remember Mickey Mantle was a big fan of the bottle too.

The babe was a drunk and a fat arse. Women today pitch better than the pitchers of the Babes day. He also didn't have to travel as much, put up with a longer season, or play so many night games (where your body is tired). You may not like Barry but he is correct on this one.

hmm

hehehehe

that woj guy seems to have forgotten that when BABE left the game they didn't feel the way he described. most people forgot about him pretty quickly.

most of the mystique was built WAY after the fact.

Barry Bonds is a punk. Why can't there be more Sosa's, Gretzky's, Bird's in sports?

Only man in 500-500 club. Barring retirement or injury he'll hit over 700 jacks and probably will pass Babe. 4 or 5 mvps. Sensational outfielder. Bonds may be a jerk but is probably the best all around baseball player ever to play. When your that damn good you diss anyone you please.

Back when Ruth played baseball, did they have a starter, middle relief, and closer pitchers? Did Ruth have to face a pitcher who was throwing 90+ mph in the nineth inning?
