Barracuda vs. Special Edition

thorin are you saying the JB is the fastest? if you are i think the ibm deathsters are faster, though i love my JB

and i think both are fine. buy whatever you want to spend
 
WD JB:
1) Faster
2) Longer Warranty compared to an OEM Barracuda

Barracuda
1) SATA interface
2) Quieter
 
I'd go with the JB as well since noise is of no concern to me... but quite honestly, I've own a Seagate Barracuda IV and I don't notice any difference in noise compared to my WD800JB. Maybe my case fans drown it out... but I'd much rather have the speed then like 26 db instead of 28 db.
