Barracuda 250gb SATA too noisy!!!

I'm an old Seagate customer and I know very well the noise levels of these drives.

This Barracuda 250 SATA I just bought is way too loud, about 5-6 times my old 7002.7 80gb PATA. I tried to change the acoustic level setting but Seagate does not provide any tool to do this, and the Hitachi tool is not compatible (someone told me it was with older Seagate drives).

Any help? I never thought that a Seagate could be so noisy... it's very disappointing.

The noise level should be about the same as the PATA drive.
(the PATA drive has 2 platters while the SATA drive has 3)

Maybe time to RMA.
