This is one time Ausm and I agree (someone should quote me since he has me on ignore...it may warm his heart).

He has done much damage and his leaving can only help.

I can't overlook the fact he was a big player in the Fannie and Freddie debachel as was many others.

Hopefully his replacement is as supportive on GLBT issues as he is... and will not ruin the country financially.

Probably good riddance; he can't escape the blame from inflating the bubble either.

“These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. “The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

If we were in China, this fat incompetent pile of shit would be executed for his role in the melt down. Lucky for him he will live off a nice pension provided by tax payers for the rest of his worthless life.

While I agree with you in principle if a top 10 list of reasons why our financial system crumbled in 2007 Barney Frank would be somewhere around 8-10.

True, but he was the most vocal proponent of lowering the underwriting standards. Government all together is pretty high up on that list.
