wow 10% off books that are over priced by 3 fold???

Can you post where do you find any books you want at "1 fold" the price?

Usually, if the books are the normal, average-person friendly literature, you can get it off of amazon's marketplace for really, really cheap.

I got this for a friend for ~$5 incld. shipping

plus,

Dover Publications is my friend.

hmmm...

My wife reads a lot of what I would call normall average-person friendly literature... and she normally goes to Barnes and Nobles where she gets a 10% off. I just looked at one of hers bags back from the book store and looked at amazon and dont see a difference in list prices

1. State of fear (michael crichton) BN $7.19 Amazon $7.99

2. Kalahari Typing School for men BN $10.75 Amazon $10.36

3. Morality for beatiful girls BN $10.75 Amazon $10.36

4. Angels and Demons BN $7.19 Amazon $7.99

5. Fudge cupcake murder BN $6.29 Amazon $6.99

6. Northerns lights BN $8.99 Amazon $9.99

The BN numbers include the 10%off and overall are a little better than Amazon. I am not looking at the shipping nor taxes... but on the other hand touching the books and reading a few paragraphs has a value for most people...

There is no doubt that for some titles or hard to find books Amazon has its use, but I dont think in general there is a big difference
