This would be a great deal except for the VIA C3? 600MHz Processor.

What's that equivalent to - a Pentium II 300 or what ?

Also, shipping has to cost a pretty penny.

Shipping to PA is $22.10 for a total of $82.09 after MIR. There's a merchant called EconoPC selling barebone kits really cheap.
Go to Pricewatch and search for "econoswift". Some of the kits offer the Biostar motherboard. These are the best.

The only problem is that EconoPC has one of the lowest Reseller Ratings on the planet. They also try and pull a "bait & switch"
with the shipping method. You must wait 2 to 4 weeks to receive your order from them. Don't fall for the shipping upgrade.
They require a fax-back form with scans of CC and Drivers License too.

If it weren't for the 22 bux shipping, I'd buy a few Tiger kits for resale. They'd run Win98SE with no problems.

WELL,.......I happen to have runnin at home a VIA C3 800 (133 fsb) and well.....
*IF* you liked the the K6-2 400 then you are good to go supa weak, barely runs divx movies

wow.. alot of negativity towards TigerDirect...

I have dealt with TigerDirect for over 2 years now and they have never lost an order, lost a rebate form, lost anything for that matter. I have recieved nothing but great service from Tiger Direct. So those of you that are thread crapping I nicely ask to stop it. You are voicing your own opinion about TigerDirect, which is not at all what I was wanting. All I wanted to do is pass on a great deal to everyone. If you do not think it is a good deal, then so be it but do not thread crap please.....

FWIW, I have always had great experiences with the big kitty as well...
